Newman instrumental music group to stage concert Dec. 9
The Newman University Music Department will present its first instrumental concert of the year at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9. The performance will be staged in the Performance Hall of the De Mattias Fine Arts Center on the Newman University campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Newman University students receive Forty & Eight nursing scholarships
Newman University nursing students Jessica Clark and Krista Norris each received a $500 scholarship to continue their studies from Forty & Eight, an independent military veterans charitable organization. Clark, a Wichita native, and Norris, from Haysville, received the Charles E. Bell Nurses Training Scholarship at a special ceremony at Newman Nov. 26.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, Newman University will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and will reopen for business on Monday, Nov. 26. Up to the Minute will not be distributed on Thursday, Nov. 22 but will return again the following week on Nov. 29.

Newman University officials announced today slight increases have resulted in another record-high fall enrollment for the university.
